MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized University.

· Up to 10 years’ experience with multinational organization/law firm preferably in the petrochemical/oil & gas industry.

· Specialization in Corporate & Industrial Laws.

· Excellent drafting skills in plain English

· Experience in setting up and managing data bases preferred

· Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills

· Confidence in evaluating, prioritising and handling multiple tasks

Design, establish and maintain, a revised CCP, review and evaluate compliance issues/concerns within the company to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct. The role will ensure that the Board of Directors, management and employees are aware of and can be in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and that corporate behaviour aligns with company standards. Systematically identify the new and changed relevant local and international laws, regulations and standards that affect QAFCO’s business processes

· Interpret compliance related laws, rules and regulations into compliance obligations for the company and its processes, activities, products and services.

· Identify, analyze and evaluate regulatory compliance risks and report on regulatory compliance obligations

· Gather information regarding regulatory requests

· Work with Human Resources to develop an effective compliance education and training programme and devise regular effective communication of the Corporate Compliance Program

· Collaborate with internal audit to identify areas for the audit team to review on behalf of the Compliance Officer

· Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Human Resources, etc.) to direct regulatory compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.

· Follow up to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, discussed and resolved.

· Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the General Counsel, Management and Board of Directors informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.

· Monitor the performance of the Compliance Program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.

· Comply with all relevant procedures of QAFCO Integrated Management System comprising of Occupational Health & Safety, Quality, Environment, Responsible Care, IFA Product Stewardship & Energy Management System.
