Responsibilities

• You will responsible for managing the domestic (AML/CFT) activities of the Company with the aim of ensuring complete and proper implementation of QCB regulations and other guidelines.
• You will ensure that the amendments to the relevant AML/ CFT laws and regulations are communicated in a timely manner to the domestic entities to enable them to comply with the same.
• Be the administrator of sanction screening, risk profiling and/or suspicious transaction case management.
• Following-up of issues that require a joint cooperation between all authorities and regulators with regard to AML/CFT.
• Coordinating all official correspondence and communication between the Central Bank related to Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism.
• Ensure that all activities of the Company are controlled by Qatar Central Bank in compliance with the legal requirements, regulations and directives issued by Qatar Central Bank and all other relevant entities.
• Carry out all relevant AML/CFT resolutions and decisions issued by competent bodies.
• Keep records of all AML/CFT matters.
• Participate in conducting risk assessment exercise on money laundering and terrorism financing for each business unit and the Company.
• Continuously and timely dissemination of information to all staff involved on the changes of regulations and internal documents related to their competences by implement appropriate information sharing and training programs.
• Performing sufficient and representative compliance testing for either regulatory compliance testing and prepare compliance risk report.
• Formulate action plan and follow up the implementation of business units and departments to rectify the findings, related to compliance with regulations and/or AML/CFT.
• Analysis of red flags / alerts generated by AML system to identify suspicious activity in the accounts
• Updating of names in the negative database as informed by Statutory authorities etc., Check at periodical intervals to verify and ensure that any existing customers names matches with the updated negative list.
• Should be well versed with the functioning of the Core Banking System.
• Should keep himself abreast with the current developments especially with regard to AML / CFT monitoring.
• Assist with the preparation of board reports in respect on Compliance matters & AML / CFT.
• Prepare & development and maintenance of AML/CFT policies, procedures and documentation in support of regulatory and best practice controls and monitoring, including updating of the AML handbook, Manual and all other AML/CFT documentation
• Provide advice to the different Managements on the compliance risk associated with new products and procedures.
• Attend regular meetings and workshops with Qatar Central Bank.

Requirements:
• Fluent in English and Arabic both written and spoken
• Knowledge and experience of QCB requirements
• Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills
• Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships
• Ability to adapt and respond to change
• Strong computer and research skills; knowledge of analysis software is preferred (e.g. Statistical Analysis Software, or SAS)
• Adapt to fluctuating workloads and priorities
• Must be proficient with Word and Excel and Outlook applications
• Excellent planning, organizational, detail-orientation and time management skills
