Fitness Equipment Products Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fitness Equipment Retail Products Manager to lead our fitness equipment retail division. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fitness products, an aptitude for business management, and a dedication to delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Selection and Sourcing:
• Identify and source fitness equipment and related products to meet customer demand.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely product delivery.
2. Inventory Management:
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock or understock situations.
• Implement efficient inventory control practices and reorder points.
3. Pricing Strategy:
• Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability and remain competitive.
• Regularly review and adjust pricing based on market trends and competitor analysis.
4. Merchandising:
• Create visually appealing in-store displays and optimize the online product catalog for easy customer navigation.
• Implement effective merchandising and product categorization strategies.
5. Sales and Marketing:
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive sales, including online advertising, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate in-store promotions and events to boost foot traffic and sales.
6. Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales and customer service staff.
• Ensure staff is knowledgeable about products and deliver excellent customer service.
7. Customer Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, address inquiries, and handle customer complaints effectively.
• Strive to provide an outstanding shopping experience for customers.
8. Quality Assurance:
• Ensure fitness equipment and related products meet quality standards and safety regulations.
• Manage product recalls or safety concerns promptly.
9. Market Analysis:
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
• Adjust product offerings and strategies accordingly.
10. Financial Management:
• Monitor sales, expenses, and profitability, preparing and managing budgets.
• Work to ensure the financial health of the retail division.
11. Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including product safety standards and consumer protection laws.
12. Vendor Relations:
• Foster positive relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and explore opportunities for expanding product lines or sourcing innovative products.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in retail product management, particularly in the fitness equipment industry.
• Strong knowledge of fitness equipment and related products.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in using inventory management and retail software.
