" Automation Technician" urgently required for Dairy Company in Oman
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of Filling Lines, Processing equipment of the Dairy plant. Which includes maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical, automation and Instrumentation system for the processing plant, maintenance & troubleshooting of PLC Siemens & Allen Bradley..etc and all kind of Instruments in processing equipment including Pasteurizers, UHT, Cheese, Ice Cream, Fillers, Packers and Robots.
• Ensure that prompt, uninterrupted, and effective support is provided to the manufacturing team.
• Demonstrate and execute progressive maintenance, support to automation/electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Focused improvement and total productive maintenance culture in the entire plant to achieve targeted equipment efficiency.
• Ensure technical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
• Ensure that PM is effectively implemented.
• Actively participate in AM and PM activities on all the lines of the business and ensure that the abnormalities are identified and fixed.
• Diagnosing the issue and making the corresponding repairs to address malfunctioning machines.
• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on machines as per established standards to avoid machine downtime.
• Able to Troubleshoot all sorts of electrical and automation controls for machines.
• Keep Meticulous Records of Machine Service History
• Calibration of all process variables instruments.
• Ensure to handle shift duties independently.
Reporting: Automation Engineer
Qualification & Skills
• Technical Diploma certification in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation
• Minimum 5 to 8-years of experience as an Automation Technician in a dairy plant.
• Knowledge of industry safety practices
• Experience of Servo motors, servo drives, Encoders, Load Cell, Soft Starters and VFD’s.
• Proven Experience minimum 5 years in Tetra Pak processing equipment like
Homogenizers, Separators, PHEs, Pumps, Valve station, mixers.
• Proven experience in Dairy Fillers and packaging equipment like Index, Novapac, SIG combi bloc, Mariani, packers and palletizers, conveyors, Pumps and Valve station.
• Maintenance and calibration experience of 4-20 mA Hart transmitter process equipment’s.
• Know the Electrical drawings, I/O checking & fault finding through PLC software in processing and filling machines.
• Hands on experience of debugging the fault in communication network, SCADA, and process instruments.
• Experience of maintenance and troubleshooting of control circuits.
• Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills in process and Automation.
