Assistant Buyer
Location: Qatar
Product Sourcing and Selection:
• Assist in identifying and sourcing new products and suppliers to meet the company's needs.
• Research market trends, analyze sales data, and identify potential opportunities.
• Evaluate product quality, pricing, and delivery timelines to ensure optimal purchasing decisions.
Purchase Order Management:
• Create and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchase orders.
Inventory Management:
• Assist in managing inventory levels to optimize stock turnover and minimize stockouts.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for adjustments.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory counts and stock rotations.
Vendor Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
• Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
Administrative Tasks:
• Prepare reports and analysis on purchasing performance, sales data, and inventory levels.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
• Support the buying team with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong Data Analysis Skill
• 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or merchandising preferred.
• Recent graduates with strong potential and a quick-learning mindset are encouraged to apply
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
