Job Scope:
The Site Engineer will be responsible for managing various aspects of construction projects on-site. This includes coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and maintaining project timelines. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and effective communication skills to liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations on the construction site.
• Ensure that all work is performed according to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of work completed by contractors and subcontractors.
• Prepare reports on project progress, including any issues or delays encountered.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Implement health and safety regulations on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide technical advice and support to site workers as needed.
• Assist in resolving any conflicts or issues that arise during the construction process.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in site engineering within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-making.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
The Site Engineer will primarily work on-site at various construction locations. The role may require extended hours during peak project phases. Candidates should be prepared for outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Safety gear will be provided as per company policy.
