The Truck Driver will be responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks to transport construction materials and equipment across multiple locations. This position requires adherence to all safety regulations and company policies while maintaining high standards of vehicle maintenance and operation. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and site supervisors to ensure that deliveries are made efficiently and on schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy trucks (Class A or B) in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated job sites safely.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, deliveries made, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
• Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before transport.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles including oil changes, tire pressure checks, and brake inspections.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents immediately to management.
• Comply with all company policies regarding safety practices.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving heavy trucks in a construction environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations governing truck operations.
• Ability to operate various types of trucks including flatbeds, dump trucks, or tankers as required by the job scope.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and site personnel.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances on the job site.
• Physical stamina for long hours on the road as well as lifting heavy materials when necessary.
