Position - Senior Process Engineer

Location of Job – Sultanate of Oman

Goals:

• Continuously improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of oil and gas production processes.
• Achieve zero incidents and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company safety standards.
• To ensure alignment of the responsibilities as indicated below to achieve the Company’s projects and operational targets.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities includes below as minimum but not necessarily limited to them only:

• FEED & Detail Engineering including performing process simulations, design calculations, Process Optimization, sizing & selection of equipment
• Participating in Engineering Meetings, Engineering Reviews, Project Reviews and Project Management Plan reviews.
• Maintain up-to-date process models of facilities and hydraulic models for Gathering and Export pipelines
• Preparation of various engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams, P&ID, Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control philosophies, shutdown philosophies, design review/ HAZOP Studies & reports, Operation & maintenance manuals etc. and providing necessary engineering inputs to the other disciplines and other departments.
• Review of process documents, specifications, datasheets, verification of design & calculations.
• Review of vendor’s documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations.
• Develop process related Tender SOW & Specifications.
• Auditing of compliance with design operating envelopes
• Regular support to Operations on plant performance issues and operating envelope compliance.
• Conduct debottlenecking and optimization studies in support of Operations
• Initiate and provide process engineering support for raising of Field Change Proposals (FCP's).
• Review and prepare Operational Readiness Assessment documents.
• Provide Process Engineering support to operations team during troubleshooting, start up, shutdown, root cause analyses, risk assessments, job hazard analyses, operating procedure development, etc.
• In depth analyses of the events/trips that cause oil deferment
• Develop ideas and/or economically attractive proposals on how to improve the operation and/or debottleneck plant constraints
• Notify stakeholders of actual performance problems
• Provide process engineering support and input to projects and business plan
• Identify and implement energy optimization opportunities

Minimum Qualification:

• Process Engineering Degree (BSc or MSC)
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in Oil and Gas industries as process engineer, with hands on experience with operation (upstream)
• Solid knowledge of process engineering principles and applications
• Experience in developing Process deliverables
• Hands on experience in software such as UNISIM and PIPESIM
• Highly developed language skills in written and spoken skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
