Your key responsibilities
Lead the successful delivery of transactions, guiding and mentoring team members along the way. Pursue, develop and convert new business opportunities, paving the way for personal and business growth. Contribute to building and maintaining client relationships by delivering exceptional client service in collaboration with a global team of transaction specialists.
Maintain and continually enhance your technical capabilities, staying at the cutting edge of the latest developments and bringing forth ideas to support our clients. You will be building strong internal relationships within the regional and global network. You will also assist with the development of more junior staff through coaching, delegation and on the job training.
You will work as part of a multi-jurisdictional / disciplinary team within tax and across other service lines in terms of pursuing and delivering engagements. In doing so, you will manage engagement economics through accurate and thorough budgeting, communication and tracking.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field, an approved professional qualification or equivalent (e.g. ADIT / ATT / ACCA / CPA / ACA / CA / LLB or MBA, or MA, MSc or PhD in Tax, Economics, Accounting or Finance).
Minimum of 7 years of relevant Tax experience, in either business or industry, with the majority focused on transactions.
Strong organisational, project delivery, analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
Proven track record with a leading professional services firm.
Experience of delivering on transaction tax projects and on the job coaching of more junior team members.
Initiative-taking, pro-active and eager to contribute effectively to a leading tax practice.
Ideally, you will also have
Proficiency in Arabic language
Experience in the M&A space from a non-tax perspective and/or in a non-professional services firm setting e.g., legal, banking, etc.
