• Provide comprehensive medical care for patients, addressing a wide range of gynecological and obstetrical issues.
• Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of the patients.
• Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, infertility, and sexually transmitted infections.
• Provide prenatal and postnatal care to pregnant women, monitoring the health of both the mother and the developing fetus.
• Assists the Consultant during surgical procedures, including hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and other gynecological surgeries and responds to emergencies during labour and delivery, if necessary.
• Perform some procedures under the Consultant’s supervision according to his/her surgical privilege as per DHP.
• Monitor and manage pregnancies, from conception through delivery and perform regular check-ups to ensure the well-being of the mother and the baby.
• Conduct screenings, such as Pap smears and mammograms, to detect cancer and other health issues.
• Provide contraception counseling and family planning services.
• Assists the Consultant in surgeries to treat gynecological conditions, such as fibroids and endometriosis.
• Educate patients about their reproductive health, pregnancy, and birth control options.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and document patient history, examinations, treatments, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and radiologists and communicate effectively with patients, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures in a clear and compassionate manner.
• Stay current with medical advancements in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
• Adhere to medical ethics and legal standards in patient care and documentation and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
