About the Job:
To provide specialized services for the diagnosis and management of disease under the scope of care of the related specialty.
Responsibilities:
To act under the supervision of the Plastic Surgery Consultants in the provision of a Plastic Surgery service and to support the Consultants/specialists in their duties.
To assess patients from the Emergency Department.
Report and discuss all unusual findings, complications, or alterations in the management plan, with the Specialists or Consultants.
To attend daily ward rounds with the Plastic Surgery team.
Document reviewed findings in clinical notes in a timely and legible manner.
To cover Operating Room duties as assigned.
To discharge patients on consultants’ instructions and write discharge summaries.
To respond to any adverse occurrences.
To contribute to quality improvement; risk management initiatives and policy development so that the overall Plastic Surgery Service is of the highest quality and reflective of best practices.
To undertake any other duties that may be required, which could include assisting medical colleagues throughout the hospital.
Participation in Registrar on-call Rota and to provide cover in exceptional circumstances for colleagues’ absence.
Qualification & Education:
Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Master Degree in the Specialty.
All these medical educations must be from the Universities approved by the Ministry of Higher Education in Kuwait.
Skills
A minimum of 1 year Post Masters experience. Desirable experience 3 years post obtaining the highest degree
