Duties & Responsibilities
Resource Planning and Allocation:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the skills, experiences, and competencies of all billable resources.
Assign resources to projects based on skill match, availability, and client requirements while maximizing billable utilization rates.
Work closely with project managers to anticipate project demands and resolve staffing conflicts.
Utilization and Efficiency Optimization:
Monitor and analyze workforce utilization metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop strategies to increase billable hours, reduce bench time, and enhance overall productivity.
Implement and manage resource scheduling tools and processes to optimize workforce deployment.
Forecasting and Reporting:
Collaborate with finance and project management teams to forecast future resource needs based on sales pipelines and project roadmaps.
Produce regular reports detailing utilization rates, project staffing, resource availability, and other key performance indicators.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to aid in decision-making processes.
Stakeholder Communication and Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to billable resources.
Maintain constant communication with project managers, team leads, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly.
Facilitate regular meetings to discuss resource status, project updates, and strategic adjustments.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in workforce management.
Recommend and implement improvements to processes, policies, and tools used for workforce management.
Participate in training and development sessions to enhance personal skills and support career growth.
Communicate effectively with other managers and senior leaders regarding workforce trends, issues, and policies.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in workforce management, resource planning, or a similar role, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
