Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Telecom Acceptance Field Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the acceptance testing and validation of telecom networks, including OSS/BSS systems, IP networks, DWDM systems, and other critical infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and operation of telecom systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Acceptance Testing:

• Conduct site acceptance tests (SAT) and factory acceptance tests (FAT) for telecom equipment, including routers, switches, DWDM systems, and transmission networks.
• Verify the functionality, performance, and compliance of telecom systems against design specifications and industry standards.

2. Network Validation:

• Perform end-to-end testing of IP networks, MPLS networks, and optical networks to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Validate the configuration and operation of OSS (Operational Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems).

3. Quality Assurance:

• Identify, document, and resolve technical issues during the acceptance testing phase.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

4. Field Support:

• Provide on-site technical support during network deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to address field-related challenges.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed test reports, including test plans, results, and recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of acceptance testing activities and equipment configurations.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with project managers, network engineers, and customer representatives to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Communicate technical findings and progress updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in telecom acceptance testing, field engineering, or network validation.
• Hands-on experience with IP networks, DWDM systems, OSS/BSS platforms, and transmission technologies.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in using testing tools such as OTDR, spectrum analyzers, Ethernet testers, and protocol analyzers.
• Strong understanding of telecom protocols and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, SDH/SONET).
• Familiarity with fiber optic testing and optical network troubleshooting.

Working Conditions:

• This role requires to visit field locations.
