Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble a compelling, commercial, viable range/concept selection to support the overall brand strategy, purpose and business direction for each Cluster within Emerging Markets.
• Deliver the range through the respective Cluster CTC leads (including Category assortment packages across channels and Key Account SMUs where applicable) within the CTC EM Hub framework, balancing both Brand and commercial considerations, and supporting the overall business strategy.
• Support the creation and execution of a 3-5 year category plan for the Business Unit, based on overall EM SBP and balanced with the needs of the adidas brand horizontally.
• Coordinate and drive SMU brief submissions from Clusters to the Global BU.
• Provide EM BU’s input to Global (consolidated from all Clusters) to include clear and substantive insight (future trends and incremental business opportunities) and also input on key concepts and category activation plans.
• Maintain and deliver regular analyses on the category sell-in, sell-out, margin, article productivity ensuring they meet the financial expectations set in the short and mid-term goals across all channels, segments in EM Clusters.
• Provide support to the Sr. BU Director in aligning net sales objectives, margins, pricing, range architecture with each Cluster.
• Coordination of Omni-channel category BU forecast as part of EM IBP process.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Passion for sports, preferably an affinity with Formula 1 and racing.
• Experience in merchandising, including areas like assortment planning, open-to-buy management, retail launch and exit calendars, rate of sales. Exposure to VM planning & execution is a plus.
• Consumer-focused with deep product and range understanding, and an excellent ability to balance brand and commercial aspects to build channel-specific go-to-market solutions.
• Strong understanding of Retail, eCom and wholesale channels in sporting goods, fashion or other youth culture brands.
• Advanced cross-functional marketing knowledge and market experience.
• Strong leadership skills, collaborative spirit, strategic planning ability and commercial acumen to build a category strategy and effectively drive its execution.
• Pro-active mindset (engaging & impact-oriented), ability to think end-to-end.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures.
• Good experience in managing cross-functional projects.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and facilitation skills (small and large groups).

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• University degree in Business, ideally with Marketing and Sales focus, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years Merchandising experience including Sales and Retail exposure, ideally in sporting goods, fashion or other youth culture brands.
• Fluent English (verbal and written)
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint.
