Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and presenting French and Italian pastries, cakes, and desserts
Follow established recipes to create high-quality desserts with precision
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pastry section
Assist with inventory control and stock management
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Support senior pastry chefs in the creation of new dessert items
Monitor the quality of ingredients and ensure proper handling and storage
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Pastry Commis or in a similar role with a focus on French and Italian desserts
Strong knowledge of French and Italian pastry techniques and ingredients
Passion for creating high-quality, visually appealing desserts
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
A culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred
