Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with kidney-related conditions, including history-taking, physical
examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
Diagnose and manage conditions such as acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), glomerular diseases, and
electrolyte disturbances.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications, recommending dietary modifications, and
planning for renal replacement therapy (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis).
Manage patients undergoing dialysis, including monitoring treatment efficacy and adjusting protocols as necessary.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing kidney transplantationCollaborate with other specialists and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Educate patients and their families about kidney diseases, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to manage their condition.
Counsel patients on the importance of medication adherence, dietary restrictions, and regular follow-up care.
Provide resources and support for patients facing long-term treatments such as dialysis or transplantation.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other specialists, to deliver patient-
centered care.
Participate in case discussions and team meetings to develop and adjust care plans.
Communicate effectively with primary care physicians and other referring providers to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the nephrology department.
Monitor patient outcomes and contribute to efforts aimed at improving the quality of care provided.
Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in nephrology.
Stay current with advancements in nephrology through continuous professional development and participation in relevant
conferences and seminars.
Stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in nephrology and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical
care.
Education : MBBS or equivalent medical degree; specialization in Nephrology (MD/DNB or equivalent).
Experience : 3-5 years of experience in nephrology, including residency and fellowship training.
Certification and Licensure Valid DHA, DOH License
