Doha Petroleum Construction is looking to hire experienced Procurement Engineers with a strong background in the oil & gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor coordination, material planning, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project requirements, technical specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to determine procurement needs.
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
Issue RFQs, evaluate technical and commercial bids, and prepare bid tabulations.
Coordinate with engineering, planning, and QA/QC teams to ensure material compliance and approvals.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
Track and manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and logistics to meet project timelines.
Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and material submittals.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, project requirements, and international standards.
Support cost control and budget adherence throughout procurement processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil preferred)
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in procurement roles within the oil & gas industry
Strong understanding of project procurement workflows in EPC or construction environments
Familiar with international procurement standards, Incoterms, and contract negotiations
Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or equivalent), and procurement software
Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
