We are looking for an experienced Instrument Engineer with a strong background in turnaround/shutdown projects in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry. The Instrument Engineer will oversee the inspection, testing, maintenance, and commissioning of all instrumentation and control systems during plant turnaround, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the execution of instrument-related turnaround activities, including calibration, loop checking, functional testing, and commissioning.
Review and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and control logic.
Ensure compliance with client specifications (e.g., Aramco standards), international codes (IEC, ISA, API), and project procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with field instruments, analyzers, transmitters, control valves, and DCS/PLC systems.
Coordinate with QA/QC, construction, and commissioning teams to meet turnaround timelines.
Prepare test records, calibration certificates, and progress reports.
Ensure all work is performed under strict adherence to safety procedures and permit systems.
Mandatory Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in instrumentation within turnaround/shutdown projects in oil & gas.
Proficiency in handling pressure, temperature, flow, level instruments, and control systems (DCS, PLC).
Experience with loop folder verification, function testing, and system turnover documentation.
Valid Iqama / Muqeem, Chamber of Commerce registration, and standard documents.
