Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a
Director – Research (Clinical & Healthcare) for their client in Abu Dhabi who own and operates a group of hospitals and clinics across UAE.
The Director of Research will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing clinical and healthcare research initiatives within the organization. This role ensures research projects are aligned with institutional goals, meet ethical and regulatory standards, and contribute to the advancement of healthcare knowledge, innovation, and patient care outcomes.
Develop and execute the organization’s research strategy in alignment with clinical and corporate objectives. Identify emerging research opportunities and foster partnerships with academic institutions, industry, and funding agencies.
Oversee the planning, design, and execution of clinical and operational research projects. Ensure research protocols meet regulatory, ethical, and scientific standards. Lead Institutional Review Board (IRB)/Ethics Committee submissions and communications. Build and manage a multidisciplinary research team including coordinators, statisticians, and support staff. Provide mentorship and development opportunities for research personnel. Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocations for research activities. Ensure all research activities are in compliance with local and international regulatory requirements (e.g., MOHAP, DOH, GCP, ICH).Monitor research quality, data integrity, and reporting accuracy. Collaborate with clinical departments to support investigator-initiated studies and quality improvement initiatives. Develop reports, publications, and presentations for internal and external dissemination. Act as a spokesperson for the organization in research-related forums and conferences. We are looking for candidates holding a PhD with a minimum of 10 years experience in clinical and healthcare research out of which at least 5 years in a leadership role.
The ideal candidate would have a track record of published in peer-reviewed journals, strong knowledge of clinical trial management, biostatistics, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. Experience in working with governmental or accreditation bodies (e.g., DOH, MOHAP, DHA).Familiarity with digital health, AI in research, or population health studies. Strong grant writing and research funding acquisition experience.
Salary : Aed 40,000 plus family benefits.
