Experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor with 3–5 years of hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) quantity surveying across various construction projects including commercial, residential, and infrastructure. Skilled in cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and post-contract duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets for MEP works.
Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets.
Monitor project costs and variations, ensuring alignment with budget.
Support contract negotiation and administration, including claims and variations.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure efficient cost control.
Prepare monthly cost reports and valuations for interim payments.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and contractual obligations.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Quantity Surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar).
Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction methods.
Familiar with FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
RICS or equivalent accreditation (preferred but not always required).
