QUALIFICATION: BE / B.Tech – Civil Engineering
Experience: 4 -8 Year Saudi Commercial Building or Highways Projects.
Salary Range: 6,000 SAR to 8,000 SAR
Description:
We are looking for a competent Cost Estimator / Biding Tendering to oversee the construction activities of our building project in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure that all civil works are executed Design, efficiently, and according to project specifications and timelines. Activities for building projects for Civil, Arch & STR with Fit-out Activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation:
o Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to identify the materials, labor, and equipment needed.
o Calculate costs for various aspects, including site preparation, excavation, foundation work, concrete, steel, and other construction materials.
2.Project Analysis:
o Review tender documents, contract requirements, and other project details to understand the scope and complexity. Review BOQ, Tender drawings, specification, special & general conditions which have to be verified all together, in coordinating with all trades including MEP.
o Assess project risks, constraints, and opportunities for cost-saving measures.
3. Data Collection:
o Gather data from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate material and labor pricing.
o Stay updated on market rates, trends, and fluctuations in construction costs.
4.Collaboration:
o Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure all estimates align with the project’s design and goals.
o Coordinate with subcontractors to receive and analyze their quotes.
5. Preparation of Estimates:
o Develop detailed cost estimates, including unit costs, quantities, and total project costs.
o Use specialized software and tools (e.g., Plan Swift, Blue beam, Cost) for precise calculations. Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, equipment costs, and current market rates.
6. Budgeting and Financial Planning:
o Provide preliminary budgets and financial forecasts for bidding or project approval. Experience in analyzing bid documents, RFQ’s and RFPs and raise Clarifications for the RFQs and RFPs and rectify BIDS accordingly while Bidding
o Assist in value engineering to suggest cost-effective alternatives to meet project objectives.
7. Tender and Bid Documentation:
o Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns and support documentation for tender submissions.
o Review and negotiate tender submissions from subcontractors and suppliers.
8. Site Visits:
o Conduct on-site inspections to understand site conditions, constraints, and project requirements. Assess environmental and logistical factors that may impact costs. Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project budget and scope.
9. Reporting and Updates:
o Regularly update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes in scope or conditions.
o Prepare and present reports to management and clients.
10. Compliance and Standards:
o Ensure all estimates comply with local regulations, codes, and safety standards. Worked Experience for Government & Private Companies Project Bidding in the Kingdom.
NOTE:
1. Having a Saudi Arabia Experience for Turnkey Projects Bidding in recent years
2. Available in the Kingdom on a Transferable Iqama is preferable.
3. The Job is based in Riyadh main office and committed to the Company goals and Targets.
4. More familiar with the Bidding procedures, Processes and Govt requirements for Technical & Financial/Commercial.
