The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. They play a vital role in supporting the electrical infrastructure of the facility, machinery, or site.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, test, and commission electrical wiring, panels, and equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults or failures in machinery and equipment.
Repair or replace defective electrical components.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
Assist in planning and executing electrical projects and upgrades.
Collaborate with other technical staff and departments for smooth operations.
Keep updated with latest electrical practices, tools, and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of safety standards such as NEC, IEC, or local electrical codes.
