We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Assistant Manager in Business Development to expand our NVOCC and Liner Agency services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, coordinating logistics operations, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the shipping, logistics, and freight forwarding sectors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
Coordinate with operations and back-office teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitor activities.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and partners to maximize profitability.
Support marketing activities and promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and report on progress regularly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Keep updated with industry regulations, compliance standards, and technological advancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or operations within the shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry.
Strong understanding of NVOCC, Liner Agency, and international shipping operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and industry-specific tools.
