The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ADNOC's environmental policies and standards. This role includes implementing environmental management programs, monitoring environmental performance, conducting impact assessments, and supporting sustainability initiatives within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems in accordance with ADNOC standards and international best practices.
Conduct environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations.
Monitor and analyze environmental data related to air, water, soil quality, and waste management.
Prepare environmental reports and documentation required for internal and external audits.
Support incident investigations related to environmental issues and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure proper waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation practices.
Provide training and awareness programs to employees on environmental policies and procedures.
Collaborate with contractors and third-party vendors to ensure environmental compliance.
Stay updated on changes in environmental laws, standards, and best practices relevant to the oil and gas industry.
Assist in achieving ADNOC’s sustainability goals and environmental targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience with environmental management systems (ISO 14001).
Familiarity with ADNOC standards and UAE environmental regulations.
Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor) preferred.
Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
