Finance Policies & Procedures

Creating / updating finance processes and policies, using a data driven approach to ensure we manage these assets effectively and efficiently with an appropriate balance of speed and control

Document and create/amend processes (and policies if required) for other critical Finance areas, including reviewing new business plans assumptions and pre-opening budget management, to support the planned growth.

Delegation of Authority

Performing a regular review of current DoA (covering all Departments) with departments heads to ensure approval processes are working effectively and efficiently.
Supporting any decisions for change with appropriate data analysis
Managing the DoA updates on a 6 monthly basis, getting all necessary approvals
Work to implement any required changes including getting approvals from the Internal Audit/ Risk Management team.

Analysis and Reporting

Extracting raw data from sub systems (or the data warehouse) and analyse and prepare reports to inform policy or process changes.
Preparing clear and simple presentations on key processes to non-financial users
Improving the reporting speed and visibility across the company including to non-Finance team members
Preparing workflow diagrams (using for example Visio, PowerPoint, Think Cell etc.) and notes to document and explain concepts, processes and results of analysis.
Prepare ad hoc reports and perform analyses on various Finance related processes, policies or any other data, summarizing the results and recommendations and present these to CEO and Senior VP’s.

Years of Experience

5+ years post qualification experience
1-2 years of detailed working experience with multi layered/ complex DoA

Knowledge, Languages and Skills

Native English speaker
Ability to prepare professional quality presentations and reports
Being able to develop processes / policies from zero in a clear and logical format
Ability to present findings / proposals to the senior leadership team
Understand risk concepts as part of setting approval limits and processes
