Job Summary:
In this role, you will plan and conduct systems engineering work, and will review and prepare information on requirements management, verification and validation, functional analysis, and other key documents. You will prepare estimates, work plans, and assist with performance reporting. Your technical expertise and coordination will ensure outcomes meet client and project requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
Application of systems engineering principles and practices in an airport project environment, including training and support to other project functions and stakeholders
Review and prepare systems engineering documents relating to requirements management, verification & validation, interface management, RAMS and systems integration
Coordinate airport systems design with other project disciplines, review project design criteria, vendor submissions, construction inspection records and startup test reports
Coordinate airport systems design integration across numerous contracts, work packages and stakeholders
Undertake audits, reports and present findings of contractor, stakeholder and project team application and adherence to systems engineering processes and policies
Support the development of systems architecture and systems integration baseline tools and reports
Support the development of contract scope and technical criteria relating to airport system engineering and integration activities, deliverable and tools
Coordinate system technical issues with Startup & Commissioning for support of Operational Readiness
Support the production of verification packages to facilitate turnover of completed airport systems and facilities
Education and Experience Requirements:
Grade 26:
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant systems engineering experience or 12¬14 years of relevant work experience
Grade 27:
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant systems engineering experience or 14¬17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge and experience with airport special systems including active data and voice networking, data centres, access control, surveillance and intrusion detection, passenger processing and resource allocation, dynamic wayfinding, aircraft auto-docking, foreign object debris detection, non-NAVAID airfield sensor systems, licensed and unlicensed wireless, and baggage handling systems
Understanding of airline industry and international regulatory codes, standards and design criteria relating to airport design
Experience with integration of airport special systems into airport command and control structures
Knowledge of interface management and the management of system to civil and system to system interfaces
