Job Location : Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that align with the curriculum framework.
• Deliver effective and engaging sociology instruction to students, promoting active participation and critical thinking.
• Assess student learning through a variety of methods, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
• Contribute to the overall positive and supportive school environment.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Potentially contribute to extracurricular activities or clubs related to sociology or social sciences.
• Assist in the role of a Discipline Officer, supporting the school's code of conduct and promoting positive student behavior.
• Support the delivery of MYP Math instruction as needed.
• Potentially assist in the delivery of Home Economics instruction as needed.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or license.
• Proven experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and assessment practices.
• Ability to adapt to a diverse student population.
• Experience with the MYP curriculum is an asset.
• Experience or willingness to support disciplinary procedures.
• Willingness to support other subjects, like math and home economics, when needed.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
