Job Summary:
In this role, you will participate in defining facility/system functions, behaviors, and other design requirements. You will perform system-level design verification and test requirements specifications.
You will compile, adjust, and correlate data that will develop your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard systems engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Major Responsibilities:
Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard Systems Engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
Participates in defining facility/system functions, behaviors, and other design requirements, prepares the criteria documents and coordinates and facilitates technical discussion to resolve system design issues
Performs system-level design verification, requirements verification, test requirements specifications, and requirements flow down and traceability
Provides technical assistance to other Systems personnel and interacts with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues
Evaluates, selects, and applies standard Systems Engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications
Develops system models using Model-Based Systems Engineering methods and tools (e.g., IBM® Rationale DOORS®, Cameo Systems Modeler by CATIA or Innoslate by Spec Innovations)
Defines facility/system functions, behaviors, and other design requirements, prepares the criteria documents and coordinates and facilitates technical discussion to resolve system design issues
Coordinates system-level design verification, requirements verification, test requirements specifications, and requirements flow down and traceability
Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines
Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Systems requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Skill in assessing the scope of problems and developing practical solutions.
Ability to coordinate and work with the other engineering disciplines, the client, designers, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
Demonstrate flexibility in balancing competing deadlines, priorities, and resource availability
Able to identify and articulate opportunities for procedural improvement, provide solutions and carry out implementation.
Must have strong organizational, leadership and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, and the desire to innovate designs as well as architecture/ engineering work processes.
Proven ability to work within a diverse multicultural environment.
