The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance of the hotel or facility. They lead the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of hygiene, guest comfort, and safety while managing operational efficiency and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement cleaning standards and procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.
Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, laundry, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Recruit, train, and motivate housekeeping staff.
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities; place orders as needed.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Manage staff schedules, assign duties, and oversee staff performance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to address repair or cleanliness issues.
Prepare budgets, control expenses, and optimize operational costs.
Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping services and resolve issues promptly.
Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and inventory.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Educational qualification: High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality management is a plus.
