The Pastry Commis assists in the preparation and presentation of a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods. Responsible for supporting the pastry team to ensure high-quality standards, consistency, and efficiency in all pastry and dessert offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section, including equipment and workstations.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Support the pastry team in daily operations, including mise en place and inventory management.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of orders.
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent guest service and satisfaction.
Learn and develop new pastry techniques and recipes under the guidance of senior chefs.
Adhere to portion control and presentation standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience or training in pastry arts or culinary arts preferred.
Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
