The Pipe Welding Foreman oversees and supervises all aspects of pipe welding activities on site. He/She ensures that welding operations comply with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. The Foreman coordinates with project managers, welding teams, and inspectors to deliver projects efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of welders on-site, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
Ensure all welding activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures, codes, and standards.
Review project drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
Conduct pre-weld inspections and ensure proper preparation of materials.
Implement safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture.
Monitor progress, productivity, and quality of welding work.
Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and other construction personnel.
Maintain records of welding activities, certifications, and inspections.
Troubleshoot welding issues and provide technical guidance.
Ensure compliance with project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in welding preferred.
Certification in AWS or equivalent welding standards.
5+ years of experience in pipe welding, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of welding codes (ASME, API, etc.) and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
