The Rigger Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of riggers during the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of heavy equipment and structures. The role involves supervising a team of riggers, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and within the project timeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of riggers during various lifting and rigging operations.
Plan and organize rigging activities according to project specifications and safety standards.
Inspect lifting equipment, rigging gear, and tools before use to ensure proper functioning.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry regulations.
Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to execute tasks smoothly.
Maintain documentation of rigging activities, inspections, and safety checks.
Train and mentor junior riggers and team members.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to rigging operations.
Monitor work progress and report on status to management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a Rigger or Rigger Foreman in industrial, construction, or marine projects.
Relevant certifications such as NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) or equivalent.
Strong understanding of rigging techniques, lifting procedures, and safety standards.
Good leadership and team management skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
