The Mechanical Planning Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules related to mechanical works. They coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient completion of mechanical projects, adhering to quality standards, safety regulations, and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed mechanical project schedules, including procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
Coordinate with project teams to gather technical requirements and timelines.
Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly.
Identify potential delays or issues and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to track progress and resolve issues.
Prepare progress reports and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Assist in resource planning and allocation for mechanical works.
Review and verify technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Support risk management and change control processes related to mechanical activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in project planning/scheduling, preferably in mechanical or industrial projects.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, /Primavera P6).
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety and quality standards applicable to mechanical projects.
