Responsibilities:
Develop and implement corrosion control strategies and materials management plans.
Conduct material selection reviews based on operating conditions and project requirements.
Monitor and analyze corrosion rates and material degradation during construction and operation.
Perform failure analysis and recommend mitigation measures.
Review and approve corrosion protection systems, coatings, and cathodic protection schemes.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and maintenance teams to ensure corrosion control measures are effective.
Maintain documentation related to corrosion monitoring, inspections, and material certification.
Stay updated on corrosion technologies and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in corrosion engineering, materials management, or related fields, particularly in refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas projects.
Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, materials science, and mitigation techniques.
Experience with relevant standards and codes (e.g., NACE, API).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
