Job Summary: :

Machinist : : Bahrain Pipes The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating various machining equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC, milling, lathe, and other machining equipment to produce parts to exact specifications. Ensure machines are calibrated and configured correctly for each job.

• Programming: Write, modify, and optimize G-code programs for CNC machines based on blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings. Make adjustments to programs as needed to improve efficiency and quality.

• Tool Selection: Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, and feed rates based on the material being machined and the specifications of the part. Ensure tools are sharp and in good condition.

• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and surface finish requirements. Use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify accuracy.

• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues during the machining process, such as tool wear, material inconsistencies, or machine malfunctions. Make necessary adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency.

• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs. Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team for further action.

• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating machinery. Ensure the work area is clean and free of hazards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machining operations, including machine settings, tool usage, and production output. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, production supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. Provide input on design improvements and manufacturing processes.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or technical training in machining or CNC operation.

• Experience with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machinist, with hands-on experience in CNC machining, milling, and lathe operations.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models. Strong understanding of machining techniques, tool selection, and material properties.

• Programming Skills: Experience in programming CNC machines using G-code. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus.

• Attention to Detail: High level of precision and accuracy in machining operations, with a focus on producing parts that meet exact specifications.

• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues during the machining process.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working with fine tools.

• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
