The Assistant Storekeeper supports the management of inventory, stock control, and store operations. They assist in receiving, inspecting, and issuing stock items, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring proper storage of goods to facilitate smooth warehouse functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming stock shipments.
Help in organizing and maintaining the storage area for easy access and inventory management.
Support in issuing stock items to various departments as per requisitions.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock databases regularly.
Assist in conducting periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure proper handling and storage of stock items to prevent damage or spoilage.
Support in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the store area.
Assist in preparing reports related to stock levels, consumption, and inventory movements.
Follow company policies and safety guidelines related to store management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Secondary school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in warehousing or logistics preferred.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and store operations.
Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks.
