Job Summary:
The Senior Construction Specialist is part of a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for managing the Contractors’ works on site. The Construction Specialist implements processes and procedures in their designated discipline and site area to ensure works are completed safely to the approved Contractor project ES&H, quality & schedule requirements and correctly to the project specification in line with the Contractor ITP.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provides Construction recommendations
• Coordinates with team in developing approved Constructability ideas and plans.
• Initiates Constructability Program process and schedule, identifying construction requirements to support estimating efforts during project development.
• Prepares and may lead Constructability awareness training.
• Contributes to construction related design decisions.
• Facilitating development and execution of approved Constructability ideas and plans.
• Develops and disseminates
• Constructability Review Matrix Conducts Constructability awareness training
• Responsible for the implementation of procedures and processes within their work area to ensure they are completed as per approved quality plan, ITPs, RAMS, project procedures and the latest IFC drawings
• Responsible for liaising with Contractors for how NCRs will be closed out prior to works progression and ensure any effect on program due to the NCR is documented
• Manages the onsite coordination between all stakeholders on site and ensures plans are in place to maintain the coordination
• Manages the collation of documentation required for work site handover
• Manages the coordination of all disciplines such as ES&H, Quality, Survey, etc. to ensure all discipline’s activities are completed to meet the project requirements and not affect schedule
• Manages Contractor scopes on site to ensure all works are in line with contractual arrangements
Education and Experience Requirements:
Grade 25: Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Grade 26: Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experiencers of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills at varying levels of the organization.
Ability to work effectively under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to effectively influence outcomes and escalate issues appropriately.
Must be a self-starter and highly motivated to succeed.
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing and solving problems.
Previous, related, working experience in the middle-east is highly preferred.
