A QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all engineering and construction activities comply with quality standards and project specifications. This role involves quality planning, inspection, testing, documentation, and monitoring to ensure that the final output meets both customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures and inspection/test plans (ITPs).
Conduct material inspections, verify certificates, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Perform site inspections for civil, mechanical, or electrical works (based on specialty) and ensure they meet required standards.
Supervise and document non-destructive testing (NDT) and other quality-related tests.
Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
Coordinate with project engineers, clients, and third-party inspectors.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including reports, logs, and dossiers for project handover.
Participate in internal quality audits and provide training on QA/QC procedures.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, contractual requirements, and industry codes (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM, etc.).
Support project closeout by compiling QA/QC handover documentation (e.g., test certificates, inspection records).
