A Welding Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and ensuring the quality of welding activities on construction or manufacturing projects. The role involves verifying that welding work complies with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications to guarantee structural integrity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Inspect welding work in progress to ensure compliance with standards such as AWS, ASME, API, or project-specific codes.
Review and approve welding procedures and welder qualifications.
Conduct visual inspections and supervise non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
Identify welding defects, discrepancies, and deviations from specifications.
Report findings and recommend corrective actions to address quality issues.

Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or related field preferred.
Certification as a Welding Inspector (CWI, AWS, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Proven experience (3+ years) as a Welding QC Inspector in construction, fabrication, or oil & gas industries.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and industry codes/standards.
Familiarity with NDT methods and inspection equipment.
