A PWHT Inspector is responsible for monitoring and verifying the Post Weld Heat Treatment process applied to welded components to relieve stresses, improve structural integrity, and ensure compliance with applicable welding codes and project specifications. This role is crucial in industries like oil & gas, petrochemicals, and power plants where pressure-retaining components are involved.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and verify PWHT process parameters including temperature, holding time, heating/cooling rates, and equipment setup.
Ensure that all PWHT procedures are in accordance with codes such as ASME Section VIII, B31.3, API, and client specifications.
Review and approve PWHT procedures, documentation, and records.
Coordinate with welding and heat treatment teams to ensure proper execution.
Witness PWHT operations in shop and/or field locations.
Calibrate and verify thermocouples, heating elements, and temperature recorders.
Generate detailed inspection and compliance reports after PWHT activities.

Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field.
3–5 years of experience in welding inspection or heat treatment monitoring.
Knowledge of ASME, API, ISO, or other relevant codes and standards.
Certification in Welding Inspection (e.g., CSWIP, AWS-CWI) is a plus.
Familiarity with NDT methods and procedures is advantageous
