The Civil Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and project budgets for civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, buildings, and construction works. The role involves analyzing project drawings, specifications, and requirements to determine materials, labor, and time requirements while coordinating with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and compliant proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
Study and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
Quantify materials, manpower, equipment, and services required for projects
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and rate analysis for all civil works
Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate offers
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams for accurate data
Review tender documents and ensure compliance with client requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
7 - 10 years of experience in cost estimation or quantity surveying
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Candy, CostX, AutoCAD, MS Excel)
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor productivity
Familiarity with tendering procedures, contracts, and local regulations
