The Structural Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all structural works comply with design specifications, standards, and safety regulations. This role involves conducting inspections, reviewing construction processes, and coordinating with project teams to maintain quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality control plans for structural components
Inspect materials, workmanship, and construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
Review structural drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand quality requirements
Conduct regular site inspections and tests (e.g., concrete testing, weld inspections)
Document inspection results and prepare detailed quality reports
Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions to resolve issues promptly
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Experience in quality control within construction projects, specifically in structural works
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, ISO)
