The ICT Teacher for the Primary Section is responsible for delivering Information and Communication Technology education to primary school students. This role involves planning and teaching ICT curriculum, developing students’ digital literacy skills, and integrating technology into learning activities to enhance educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver ICT lessons aligned with the primary curriculum and learning objectives.
Teach fundamental computer skills, including basic programming, internet safety, word processing, spreadsheets, and multimedia tools.
Foster students’ interest in technology and promote responsible digital citizenship.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
Incorporate a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage young learners.
Maintain and manage classroom technology equipment and software resources.
Collaborate with other teachers to integrate ICT into cross-curricular projects.
Organize and supervise computer-related activities, clubs, or competitions.
Stay updated on the latest educational technologies and ICT teaching methodologies.
Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education Technology, or related field.
Teaching certification or license is preferred.
Experience teaching ICT to primary school students is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and educational technologies.
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for young learners.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, educational software, and basic programming tools.
Creativity and enthusiasm for fostering digital skills in children.
