The Dance Teacher is responsible for instructing students in various dance styles, techniques, and choreography. This role involves designing and delivering engaging dance lessons, encouraging physical fitness and creativity, and preparing students for performances and examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct dance classes suitable for different age groups and skill levels.
Teach dance techniques, choreography, rhythm, and movement theory.
Encourage students’ physical fitness, coordination, and expression through dance.
Organize rehearsals, performances, and dance recitals.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Create a positive and motivating learning environment.
Maintain and care for dance studio equipment and costumes.
Collaborate with other teachers and school staff on interdisciplinary activities.
Promote dance as an art form and encourage student participation in events and competitions.
Stay updated with current dance trends and teaching methodologies.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in teaching dance and choreography.
Proficiency in various dance styles (e.g., ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, classical).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Physical stamina and excellent coordination.
