We are seeking an experienced QC Welding Inspector to ensure the quality and compliance of welding activities in oil, gas, and petrochemical projects. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of welding standards, codes, and inspection techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspection of welding processes, materials, and finished components to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes.
Review welding procedures, drawings, and specifications prior to commencement of work.
Perform and supervise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as Radiographic (RT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Penetrant (PT), Visual (VT), and Radiographic Film Interpretation (RTFI).
Document inspection results, prepare quality reports, and maintain records for audits and certification purposes.
Ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards including ANSI B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME Section I, II, V, IX, and other piping system installation codes.
Collaborate with project engineers, contractors, and welding teams to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Participate in internal and external audits as required.
Support safety and quality compliance initiatives on-site.
Qualifications:
Education: BE / DAE in Mechanical, Industrial, or Metallurgy disciplines.
Certifications:
CSWIP 3.1 / AWS CWI or equivalent.
NDT Level II in RT, MT, PT, VT, and RTFI (ASNT Level II certification is an advantage).
Experience: Minimum 6 years as a QC Welding Inspector, including at least 3 years in welding inspection for oil, gas, or petrochemical projects.
