We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in shutdown activities for industrial or oil & gas projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising mechanical shutdowns, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion of critical maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, supervise, and execute mechanical shutdowns of equipment and systems.
Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance during shutdowns.
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards during shutdown activities.
Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and maintenance procedures.
Prepare detailed reports, checklists, and post-shutdown documentation.
Manage resources, manpower, and tools required for shutdown execution.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
5 - 8 years of experience in shutdown works in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industry projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, valves, pumps, and rotating equipment.
Familiarity with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PTW (Permit to Work), and safety procedures.
Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict shutdown schedules.
