Job Purpose
To perform precision machining operations using manual and CNC machines, ensuring components are manufactured or repaired to exact specifications. The machinist will support maintenance, fabrication, and production activities while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drilling machines.
Measure, inspect, and verify dimensions of machined components using precision tools (micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges).
Perform machining operations including turning, milling, drilling, threading, boring, grinding, and finishing.
Fabricate and repair parts for machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems as required.
Select proper tooling, cutting speeds, feeds, and machine settings based on material and job requirements.
Maintain machines and tools by performing routine checks, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and ISO quality standards.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams for troubleshooting and timely completion of tasks.
Complete job cards, reports, and documentation accurately.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma/ITI in Machining, Mechanical Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Machinist in industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance workshops.
Experience operating both manual and CNC machines (preferred).
Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and precision measurement tools.
Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of machining tolerances and surface finish requirements.
Hands-on experience with machining tools, fixtures, and equipment.
