In this position
Ensure compliance with KSA regulatory requirements (Ministry of Transport, Civil Defence) and client, DHL HSE standards.
Monitor transportation and logistics operations to identify risks, hazards, and unsafe practices.
Conduct site inspections and vehicle safety checks (pre-trip and post-trip).
Maintain HSSE overview of progress in fulfilling scope of work
Review and critique project documents on logistics safety issues
Manage input of information from transport providers required to fulfil scope
Work closely with the client, transportation contractors, and project logistics teams to ensure safe execution of operations.
Support audits, safety inspections, and compliance reviews with client HSE representatives.
Complete monthly HSSE statistical reports related to the project and communicate to different parties
Liaise with authorities (traffic police, civil defense, ministry officials) when required
Develop and enforce safety plans for all project movements and heavy equipment and other project cargo.
Assess journey routes, traffic management plans, and driver fitness before operations.
Monitor fatigue management, heat stress, and safe driving hours in alignment with Saudi regulations.
Follow up unsafe acts and conditions reports and advise / enforce corrective action plans.
Provide safety inductions and toolbox talks to drivers, riggers, and logistics staff.
Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and coaching
Knowledge of defensive driving and road safety regulations.
Incident investigation and root cause analysis.
Strong leadership and team coaching ability.
Risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) preparation.
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Now, here is what we need from you!
At least 3-5 Years of relevant safety oil and energy / logistics experience
Bachelor’s degree in safety, Engineering, or related discipline.
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA certification (mandatory).
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in HSE, preferably in logistics, heavy transport, or industrial projects in KSA/GCC.
Familiarity with Saudi HSE regulations and transport laws.
Experience oil and energy or heavy-lift logistics (advantage).
Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
Logistics background including but not limited to Heavy Lifting & implementation to safety transport journey management plans.
Good IT / Computer Skills
