Environment Engineer – Oil & Gas (1-Year Contract)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Environment Engineer to join one of the leading Oil & Gas companies in Muscat, Oman on a 1-year contractual role under Kintec Global payroll.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GHG accounting, carbon management, energy management, and environmental engineering, with a proven track record in driving environmental performance and sustainability initiatives within energy or heavy industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support GHG (Greenhouse Gas) accounting and emissions reporting in line with international standards and company requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor carbon management and energy management strategies to reduce environmental impact.
Support target setting for emissions reduction and energy performance improvement.
Conduct environmental performance assessments and recommend improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, projects, HSE, sustainability) to integrate environmental considerations into business decisions.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
Provide advisory support on environmental engineering, sustainability frameworks, and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in:
GHG accounting
Carbon management
Energy management
Environmental engineering
At least 5 years in a senior or advisory role.
Experience working in or advising companies in sectors such as:
Energy
Heavy industry
Manufacturing
Infrastructure
Strong experience in:
GHG accounting & reporting
Energy performance management
Target setting
Environmental performance improvement
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
