Job Overview:
The Network Performance Monitoring Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and efficiency of Barq Systems’ network infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in monitoring tools, network performance analytics, and proactive issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor end-to-end network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, AppDynamics, PRTG, or similar platforms.
Analyze network traffic, latency, packet loss, and bandwidth utilization to identify performance bottlenecks.
Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards, reports, and monitoring views.
Detect and escalate network anomalies, performance degradations, and outages in accordance with internal processes.
Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and trend analysis.
Ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and internal monitoring standards.
Collaborate with NOC, network engineering, and security teams to improve overall monitoring quality.
Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending enhancements in tools, processes, and performance frameworks.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in network performance monitoring or performance analysis.
Hands-on expertise with monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, AppDynamics, PRTG, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, SNMP, routing, switching, diagnostics.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred certifications include: CCNA, SolarWinds Certified Professional, or similar.
Experience working in enterprise-level or large-scale network environments is a plus.
